TransAT 5.3

The new desktop version of TransAT Suite – with the modules HPC, Multiphase and Multiphysics- is now available for download. This release is compatible with both Linux based and Windows Operating Systems (OS). The installation package consists of an installation manual and an installer. The in-built demo license allows running simulations for 1 hour using maximum 4 processors.

Trouble shooting

  • Problems encountered in the installation of the Windows version, Expand
    sdk_windows7_failed
    1. Uninstall the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable packages (both x86 as well as x64) from “Control Panel” > “Programs and Features”
    2. Install the Windows SDK 7.1. During installation, under the “Installation Options” menu, UNCHECK the “Visual C++ Compilers” and “Microsoft Visual C++ 2010? components
    3. Apply the SDK 7.1 patch: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=4422
    4. Reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable packages
  • Possible problems encountered when running initial conditions Expand

    The issue can occur when running initial condition: if at the end of the text output of initial conditions, you see an output similar to this:

    c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\INCLUDE\intrin.h(26) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: ‘ammintrin.h’: No such file or directory

    NMAKE : fatal error U1077: ‘”c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\Bin\amd64\cl.EXE”‘ : return code ’0×2′

    Stop.

    ERROR compiling …

    Then, it is a Microsoft issue. It can be fixed following these steps:

    • Download the file ammintrin. Right-click link and choose ‘Save target/link as’
    • Copy this file in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\INCLUDE\”.
